What We Do
OUR VISION
We envision a community where traditional and non-traditional sports are more than activities for athletic development—they become transformative tools to engage youth in academic tutoring, life skills, and stress management, improving educational outcomes and future opportunities.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to coordinate sports and academic programs, alongside mentoring to create a supportive network both on and off the field that is geared to promote social-emotional development, high school readiness, and leadership cultivation.

HISTORY
Lee Lee Kiddz was founded in Baltimore by Kevin Ricks in honor of his late mother, “Lee Lee,” whose passing during COVID inspired him to continue her legacy of service. After the pandemic, he sought to create safe, positive spaces for youth to reconnect through sports and mentorship. This vision became the foundation of the program.
The organization launched two and a half years ago with 8 coed middle schools and free community camps. The focus was on rebuilding confidence, teamwork, and structure for students returning to school. Early success quickly drew interest from principals, families, and community member
As demand increased, Lee Lee Kiddz expanded to more than 25 partner schools across Baltimore City and County. By the end of this year, the program reached 40 total teams across elementary coed, middle school boys, and middle school girls. It became the first in the area to create a dedicated middle school girls flag football league.
Growth led to collaborations with organizations such as Under Armour and Baltimore City Recreation & Parks. These partnerships helped provide high-quality sports experiences, mentoring, and SEL support for students. Free clinics and camps ensured that cost was never a barrier for participation.
The program also extended its reach to serve military-connected youth through partnerships with the Maryland Army National Guard and National Guard Child & Youth Programs in multiple states. Clinics and camps offered structure, resilience-building, and positive mentorship for military families. Today, Lee Lee Kiddz serves hundreds of students each year through leagues, camps, and after-school programs that keep youth active, supported, and connected.
